BUSINESS SUPPORT 

The Estates & Investments team has joined up with Telford & Wrekin Council’s Business Support team to create its business supporting and business winning campaign called ‘Invest in Telford’.  

Invest in Telford is Telford & Wrekin Council’s comprehensive programme of business support which aims to make doing business in Telford easier. 

The Business Support Team (based at Wellington Civic Centre) is a key function of this campaign and is a free service which provides a dedicated point of contact for all Telford based businesses.  

The team acts as a client management service for businesses hoping to access council services such as Business Rates, Planning, Estates & Investments, Health & Safety, etc.  It is also responsible for the following:

•         Funding and grants – for companies seeking help identifying and applying for the appropriate sources of funding or grants for growth or employment

•         Business Networking Support – for companies seeking to link up with other businesses in Telford and Wrekin or acquire mentoring

• Recruitment and training – for companies seeking help recruiting (especially young people and apprentices) and for liaising with training providers to support business priorities 

Inward Investment officers also work alongside team helping to identify and support companies seeking to move to Telford and Wrekin.
