There is superstore shopping on the edge of town and a wider choice of supermarkets, shops and leisure facilities in nearby Cirencester (18 miles), Dursley (4.5 miles) and Nailsworth (6.1 miles). There is a pub and a church in Kingscote.

There are direct rail services to London Paddington from Kemble and Swindon stations, the latter scheduled to take approximately 55 minutes. From Cirencester, take the A433 to Tetbury. From Tetbury take the A4135 heading west through Beverston. Cross over the A46 and immediately prior to the Hunters Hall Hotel, turn left to Bagpath.
