When we first walked into our house over twenty five ago we immediately felt at home and secure. We gradually put our own stamp on the house in terms of decor but have always loved the light and bright aspect of the house offered by its position by being well back from the road at the front and not being overlooked at the rear.
We’ve enjoyed many a pleasant al fresco breakfast on the patio which gets the morning sunshine and later in the day we have often retired to the comfort of the summer house even when the weather has turned wet.
One of the many attractions that we found to living in Shinfield is the easy access to the countryside and the fact that it still retains a village feel. There are plenty of parks nearby where we were able to bring our son to run around and kick a ball. Over the years we’ve discovered several delightful off road cycling and walking routes between Shinfield and Arborfield.
As mentioned earlier, Shinfield very much retains a village atmosphere with a wonderful local Post office and Co-op store. Each year, there is a May Fair, 5K marathon and visiting carnival. There are leisure centres within easy reach and in recent years, a community centre, medical practice and pharmacy have been built in the village, with a new Lidl store soon to join this list.

We really can't emphasise enough how beautifully kept this home is, it's really a testament to what a lovely place to live it's been over the years. As it stands, you've got a lovely big living room that opens into a dining room and then the kitchen, both have been extended already and are crying out to be knocked through into one vast kitchen/dining room. There's also a downstairs loo and a garage, which some owners along the road have part converted into an extra room, perfect as a home office. Upstairs has two big double rooms and a great sized single, as well as the family bathroom. The house is being sold with no onward chain, and can be moved straight into whilst you wait to do any extension works - we know this will be popular!

Wheatfields Road is set in the heart of Shinfiled village, proven by how long people stay here. Everything you need is within walking distance, from local shops and pubs like the popular Shinfield Arms, to access to green space like Langley Mead Nature Reserve, there are some great schools nearby as well making this a great area for families. If it's commuting you are after, then junction 11 of the M4 is a 5-minute drive, as well as bus routes into Reading town and Wokingham and the new Green Park Railway not too far either. Putting this all together, along with the safe area and private feel, you won't want to move for a long time.
