Why the owner loves the property:
There have only been 2 owners of this house. Both raised families here and both stayed 20 years. This is a great family house but what makes it special is the garden. We planted a lot when we moved in and those trees have now matured. Its very private and peaceful. I love to sit out in the garden with a glass of wine after work on a Friday. It really came into its own during the Covid lockdowns. Our children and their partners came to stay with us. We were 6 adults. In the summer of 2020, which was so good, we had lunch together in the garden and dinner most nights. We've moved around the garden during the day as the sun moves. Given it's shape there is sun somewhere at most times of the day.We remodelled downstairs to create more space and more light. We moved the staircase to make the hall larger. We took the dinning room wall to the kitchen away and made a versatile open space. We added a whole wall of storage. We have a breakfast table there at present but at times we've had a dinning table and others a sofa and armchair. Adding 2 French windows means we can open it all up to the garden and create a great entertaining space. We had over 40 people here for my wife's 50th birthday.I have so many memories from this house but i'll miss the peacefulness the most. Its been my sanctuary!
