It was the Gaulmyn family who owned the house for 300 years until the French Revolution when the owner at the time, a single woman, took refuge in a convent in Moulins. In the 15th Century, it is also said that Anne de France the eldest daughter of Louis XI and Charlotte of Savoy, eldest sister of Charles VIII, stayed here.
